Situated near the well-known Barra Lighthouse, accommodation at Faraway Lodge in Mozambique is provided in both self-catering chalets and camp sites.
The stilted chalets offer lovely (distant) sea and inland views from the large decks. The seasonal bar is situated alongside the large central swimming pool.
The lodge offers rustic, affordable accommodation in traditional reed and grass chalets. The chalets range in size from 2 sleeper - 10 sleeper and are fully equipped for self-catering purposes.
The 2 sleeper chalets comprise an en-suite bedroom with a double bed and bunk bed, a kitchenette with a bar fridge and a one-burner hot plate (bunk bed for two small children in main bedroom).
The 6 sleeper chalets comprise 3 bedrooms, bathroom with shower and an open plan kitchen/living area and deck.
The 10 sleeper chalets have 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large deck, open plan kitchen/lounge.
The chalets are serviced at an additional cost per day
The tranquil palm-lined camp site also offers shade-providing baraccas for hire with power points. Camp sites do not have electrical points but there are ablutions with hot water.
